I found two of these snakes, one in Queensland and
one in Northern Territory. Thanks to Mark Straughen of
Sydney for identifying them for me! |

Total length of the specimens I
found was perhaps a foot long. While these snakes are
venomous, their bites are not considered to be life-threatening to
humans. Nevertheless, local laws notwithstanding, I suppose
it's a good thing I didn't try to pick them up! |
