My Herping Trips

Each of the links listed here will go to a page detailing my trips, as well as species-specific pages of what I found at each location.  Links are listed on the bottom half of this page, organized by region.

The World

For the species-specific pages, I have included the following information which I hope you find useful:
- Common name (and alternate names)
- Scientific (binomial/trinomial) names and previous scientific names where applicable
- Explanation of the scientific name
- Taxonomy (class, family, and genus as well as subdivisions of these where applicable)
- Habitat
- Length
- Food the animal is known to eat
- Range map (where a subspecies is listed, the range map shows the range for the species, not just the particular subspecies)
- A short narration about the individuals I observed
Picture(s)

Other than my personal observations, the information presented was gleaned from a variety of sources.  Range maps are adapted from the Audubon guides (among other sources) and should not be considered authoritative.
